Some new paintings collectively called ‘The Blues’ have been uploaded (detail below). These new pictures commemorate the civil disturbances that took place around the turbulent world 40 years ago in 1968 (when I was four). The power of these images still inspires, excites and saddens me – where is the idealism and passion these people felt now? I think the truncheons and rubber bullets triumphed.
